Abstract:
Multi-stimulus-responsive materials, leveraging their dynamic tunability, demonstrate transformative potential in intelligent sensing and advanced anti-counterfeiting applications. These materials employ multimodal coordination mechanisms to perceive composite environmental stimuli simultaneously. For instance, by integrating photochromic properties with chemically responsive strategies, they enable innovative technical pathways for constructing multifunctional detection platforms and high-security anti-counterfeiting systems, thereby addressing challenges in real-time environmental monitoring and information protection. In this work, the rational design and synthesis of a new tetraaryl fluorescence material TAE-B-BT were reported, which had high sensitivity and selectivity for the detection of N2H4. Tetraarylethylene derivatives (TAE-B-1o and TAE-B-2o) exhibited distinct AIE effects and photochromic properties. The experimental results showed that TAE-B-BT achieved real-time monitoring of N2H4 through significant UV-vis absorption and fluorescence emission changes. TAE-B-BT provided excellent quantitative analysis of multiple matrices, including solutions, gases and complex soil samples. Using the dual response of TAE-B-BT to N2H4 and UV light, a molecular logic gate system with dual-input-and-dual-output characteristics was constructed. Furthermore, an advanced dynamic information encryption platform was developed by leveraging the differential response kinetics of TAE-B-BT and TAE-B-1o to N2H4, combined with their photochromic behavior. This innovative system integrated time-dependent mode evolution, UV-regulated erasable information, and multi-modal authentication, establishing a new paradigm for high-security anti-counterfeiting materials. The approach was realized through the synergistic combination of molecular recognition, photoresponsive properties, and time-dependent dynamics.
