To conduct a cross-cultural validation of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) in an Arabic-speaking sample.
To establish the reliability and validity of an Arabic translation of the BDI.
To assess the suitability of the Arabic BDI for use with Saudi Arab psychiatric outpatients.
