Abstract:
This study compared the effectiveness of telephone, videophone, and telemonitoring technologies in telenursing. Telemonitoring was found to reduce hospital admissions and improve survival rates by leveraging data-driven capabilities, particularly for chronic conditions. Videophone focused on enhancing patient quality of life through interactive and consultative care. While telemonitoring incorporates medication management and diagnostic tests, videophones prioritize education and consultation. These findings highlight the need for tailored approaches to telenursing based on patient needs.
