Abstract:
This paper presents the Portuguese use case of the RM4Health project, particularly the Remote Monitoring for Elderly Daily initiative. Developed in collaboration with international partners, this project aims to create a smart healthcare ecosystem for remote monitoring and health management of elderly individuals. The system integrates wearable devices, biomedical sensors, and a pill dispenser prototype to improve care quality and enable early intervention in potential health issues. The study focuses on evaluating the feasibility, usability, and acceptance of the ecosystem in real-world environments, while contributing to future research through the collection of anonymized biomedical and activity data.
