Abstract:
Biomedical engineering education in the Philippines is gaining momentum as universities and research institutions strive to integrate engineering and medical sciences to address local healthcare challenges. This article explores the current landscape of biomedical engineering programs, focusing on curriculum design, research initiatives, industry linkages, and graduate employability. It highlights the efforts of key institutions and identifies gaps in policy and professional recognition. Recommendations are proposed to align local programs with global standards and foster innovation through clinical integration, technopreneurship, and industry collaboration.
