Digital workflow for condylar movement analysis: Measuring sagittal condylar and Bennett angles

Abstract:
A digital workflow for measuring sagittal condylar and Bennett angles using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and digital dental records is presented. The technique integrates CBCT-derived skull models with digital dental arch scans in maximal intercuspal position and eccentric positions. Through volumetric segmentation and standardized cross-sectional analysis, the method enables the measurement of both angles without requiring specialized equipment or specific CBCT positioning. These measurements enable custom articulator settings that accurately reflect an individual patient's mandibular movements and are particularly valuable in complex prosthodontic treatments requiring large field of view CBCT scans.

Relative Motion Analysis - Velocity
When an external force is exerted, it sets the crank into a rotational movement. This, in turn, instigates the motion of the connecting rod, leading to what is referred to as a general plane motion. This process involves two key points - point A on the connecting rod...

When a bending moment is applied at an angle θ concerning the vertical axis of a symmetrical member, it can be resolved into components along the member's principal...
