  • A 3-year longitudinal multimodal curriculum was developed based on transformative learning theory.
  • Neurology residents participated in communication workshops (VitalTalk), observed clinical encounters with feedback, and attended lectures.
  • Self-assessed confidence in neuropalliative care skills was measured using pre- and post-workshop questionnaires.

Main Results:

  • High attendance (75%) demonstrated curriculum feasibility.
  • Post-workshop, resident confidence in leading family meetings increased significantly (57% to 75%).
  • Confidence in responding to patient/family emotions improved, though further training is desired by some residents.

  • A longitudinal multimodal curriculum is feasible for teaching neuropalliative care communication skills.
