[Effects of misclassification in epidemiology]
Abstract:
It is well known that misclassification errors, even seemingly moderate ones, may lead to important underestimations of the magnitude of the association between risk factor and disease. The purpose of this paper is to study the loss of efficiency produced by those errors in different situations often encountered in epidemiology.
