Repurposing nitazoxanide in type 2 diabetes mellitus: a randomized controlled trial

Nitazoxanide (NTZ) may reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in type 2 diabetes patients. However, this study found no significant improvements in glycemic control when NTZ was added to metformin-vildagliptin.
