Is Procedural Anesthesia Safety Similar Between Residents and Attending Surgeons?

Procedural sedation in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) by residents and attendings showed similar, low adverse event rates (0.08%). This supports the safety of supervised resident anesthesia and current OMS training protocols.
