Pseudoephedrine prophylaxis does not prevent middle ear barotrauma in hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Pseudoephedrine did not prevent middle ear barotrauma (MEB) in patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen (HBO₂) therapy. This common complication of HBO₂ treatment was not reduced by the medication in a randomized trial.
