Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess P-wave dispersion (PWD) in patients with premature ejaculation (PE).
  • To compare PWD between acquired PE (APE) and lifelong PE (LLPE) subtypes.
  • To explore the relationship between PE and atrial electrical parameters.

Main Methods:

  • Seventy-eight male participants (40 controls, 21 APE, 17 LLPE) underwent 12-lead electrocardiography.
  • P-wave dispersion (PWD) was calculated as the difference between maximum (Pmax) and minimum (Pmin) P-wave durations.
  • Echocardiographic, hormonal, and biochemical data were collected to control for confounding factors.
