    Background:

    • Loss of interdental papillae in the anterior maxilla causes significant esthetic and functional issues.
    • Current augmentation techniques may have limitations in access and graft placement.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To introduce and evaluate a refined tunnel-like surgical technique for three-dimensional papilla augmentation.
    • To assess the efficacy of the Papilla Reconstruction via Incision and Submucosal Mobilization (PRISM) technique.

    Main Methods:

    • The PRISM technique utilizes a vestibular access incision for submucosal mobilization and connective tissue grafts (CTGs).
    • CTGs were harvested from the lateral palate and maxillary tuberosity.
    • Outcomes were evaluated using clinical indices, volumetric analysis (STL superimposition), and patient-reported scores.

    Main Results:

    • All treated sites showed successful healing after six months.
    • Significant volumetric increases were observed: vertical gain (0.8-1.7 mm) and horizontal gain (0.8-1.4 mm).
    • Patients reported improved esthetics and comfort.

    • The PRISM technique offers a promising approach for interdental papilla reconstruction.
    • This method combines advantages of tunnel techniques with a dual-graft strategy for enhanced outcomes.
