Transnasal route to bring out drains after frontal rhytidectomy

One of the most frequent complications of facial and frontal rhytidectomy is the formation of hematoma. There are many ways to prevent hematoma formation, but the best one is still absolute hemostasis during surgical procedures. We present our experience with the transnasal route to bring out drains after frontal rhytidectomies. We believe this route is more natural and gravitational and conforms to the general principles and rules concerning drains. We have used this route in more than 120 patients without complications.
