The Cross-sectional buildings energy benchmarking knowledge graph is a dataset defined within the framework of one of the Building Information aGGregation, harmonisation and analytics platform (BIGG) Horizon 2020 project's Business Cases. It is a combination of Semantic Web assets whose main objective is integrating cadastral data, following the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE) standard, with Building Performance Certifications (BPCs). The dataset can be exploited to provide valuable information for politicians, energy managers and property owners, e.g. to set clear objective zones in the formulation of subsidy policies, implement localized energy efficiency measures, or compare an owned property against its peer group benchmark in terms of energy efficiency. When published using a GeoSPARQL-enabled endpoint, a data consumer can perform on-the-fly geographical and KPIs aggregations with valuable outputs such as heat maps, frequency distributions, and more.

Energy Diagrams - II
The point in the energy diagram at which the system’s potential energy is the lowest is known as the local minima. The system tends to stay in this position indefinitely unless acted upon by a net force. The slope of the potential energy diagram at the local minima is zero, indicating that zero net force is acting on the system. The...
Design Example: Sustainability in Concrete Building
There are multiple approaches to achieve sustainability in a commercial concrete building. For instance, construct a concrete parking area under the building, utilizing pervious concrete paver blocks in open areas to facilitate rainwater collection through an underground...
Energy Diagrams - I
Take the example of a skater on a parabolic ramp. The potential energy at different points along the ramp will be proportional to the height of the ramp, which varies quadratically with the horizontal position on the ramp. As the skater moves down the ramp from the highest position,...
Energy Conservation and Bernoulli's Equation
All the terms in the equation have the dimension of energy per unit volume. The kinetic energy per unit volume is called the kinetic energy density, and the potential energy per unit volume is...
Multiple Bar Graph
Each bar or column in the multiple bar graph represents a data value. These graphs are used primarily in interrelating two or more sets of data. The categories of different kinds of data are listed along the horizontal or x-axis, whereas...
