    Summary

    Extracapsular cataract extraction resulted in less vitreous hemorrhage than intracapsular extraction. Chymotrypsin use reduced vitreous hemorrhage in the intracapsular group, suggesting zonular traction may cause some hemorrhages.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the incidence of vitreous hemorrhage after intracapsular cataract extraction (ICCE) and extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE).
