Does Postoperative Colonoscopy Increase the Risk for Hip and Knee Periprosthetic Joint Infection? A Systematic Review

Colonoscopies do not increase the risk of periprosthetic joint infections (PJI) after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). Identifying and managing patient risk factors is key to reducing PJI rates and improving outcomes.
