High-frequency and high-amplitude sounds enhance bird deterrence

High-frequency, highly variable artificial sounds are most effective for deterring black-necked cranes (Grus nigricollis). This research provides key insights for developing effective bird deterrence technologies for wildlife conservation and human-wildlife conflict mitigation.
