Deinococcus lichenicola sp. nov., A Bacterium Isolated from a Lichen Sample

A novel bacterium, Deinococcus lichenicola sp. nov., was isolated from lichen. This Gram-positive coccus represents a new species within the Deinococcus genus, expanding microbial diversity.
