Normocalcemia and Normal Thyroid Function in a Severe Vitamin D-Deficient Population

Vitamin D deficiency (VDD) was common in the study population. VDD did not significantly alter thyroid function or calcium levels within reference ranges, suggesting current vitamin D guidelines may need revision.
