First Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy (EHM) Outbreak in Chile

The first Equine herpes myeloencephalopathy (EHM) outbreak in Chile, caused by Equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1), had low morbidity and mortality. Strict biosecurity measures effectively controlled the spread of this serious equine neurological disease.
