[Exploration of a virile but impotent patient: the clinical interview]

Erectile impotence results of summation of organic, psychological and relational factors. That is why we will have to practice clinical examinations, to ask for complementary investigations (plasmatic prolactinemia, Doppler, plethysmography of night penile erections, and if necessary, selective pelvian arteriography), and more over, to have a clinical interview, as well with the patient, as with his partner. It is this last aspect of the question which will more particularly hold our attention.
