Elevation of serum indoleacetic acid levels in rats with experimental liver failure
Journal of Pharmacobio-Dynamics
|September 1, 1985
Abstract:
Changes in the serum levels of indoleacetic acid (IAA) of liver-injured rats induced with an injection of carbontetrachloride (CCl4) or D-galactosamine (GalN) were investigated. IAA showed a marked increase of 61.8% and 102.6% in CCl4 and GalN treated rats, respectively. The elevation of IAA was observed only in the early stages of hepatic failure.
