Intraoperative pain assessment using a digital force gauge during vitreoretinal surgery: a prospective feasibility

This study shows a digital force gauge can effectively assess real-time intraoperative pain during eye surgery. The developed Pain Index (PI) correlates well with patient-reported pain scores, offering a reliable pain assessment tool.
