Suicide by sodium nitrite ingestion: a systematic review

This review examines 94 sodium nitrite (NaNO2) suicides, finding most victims were young males with depression. High methemoglobin levels and nitrite presence in biological samples confirm NaNO2 toxicity in fatal poisonings.
