Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) offer a cost-effective method for diagnosing sexually transmitted infections (STIs). While conventional ELISAs have limitations, newer ultrasensitive and digital ELISA technologies show promise for improved accuracy and broader adoption in STI screening.
