Abstract:
Here, we report an efficient and highly active copper complex ([(TMPhen)2Cu(I)][O2CCF2Cl]) for the trifluoromethylation of aryl iodides. This bench-stable copper complex converts aryl iodides into their corresponding CF3 derivatives in high yields within 1 h. The protocol is also well-suited for aromatic [18F]trifluoromethylation, offering a rapid and efficient approach for the development of new radiopharmaceuticals within 20 min.
