Abstract:
Bluetongue is a reemerging disease of agricultural livestock. Sporadic outbreaks occur endemically, and the introduction of non-endemic strains is common. Reassortment of geographically dispersed strains may produce pathogenic variants; however, virulence determinants remain unclear. We present the complete coding genome of a strain of bluetongue virus serotype 3 previously collected under active surveillance.
