Cerebral computed tomography perfusion pattern in Todd's paralysis: A case series, unraveling diagnostic challenges

Abstract:
Acute neurological deficits following seizures can be mistaken for an acute stroke. Computed Tomography Perfusion (CTP) reveals distinct patterns in acute ischemic stroke. This case series outlines CTP patterns in 4 patients with postictal neurological deficits (Todd's Paralysis) who were initially misdiagnosed with acute ischemic stroke. Two of the 4 cases displayed CTP patterns resembling ischemic stroke with a penumbra. Distinguishing between acute ischemic stroke and postictal Todd's paralysis based solely on CTP is challenging.
