Abstract:
A high-quality whole genome assembly of Cephonodes sanshaensis (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae) was generated using PacBio HiFi sequencing technology. The assembly, constructed with hifiasm and refined by redundant sequences using Purge_dups, resulted in a genome size of 384.76 Mb with a contig N50 of 14.22 Mb. Genome annotation was performed by integrating transcriptome data, homology-based prediction, and de novo gene prediction methods. The final dataset includes the assembled genome sequence and a comprehensive set of predicted protein-coding genes. This genome assembly has been deposited in the China National GeneBank DataBase (CNGBdb) under accession number CNA0505688. The raw sequencing reads are available at CNGB Sequence Archive under accession number CNP0007405. This genomic resource lays a foundation for comparative studies within Sphingidae and Lepidoptera, as well as for exploring genome architecture and sequence evolution.
