Abstract:
There exists a wealth of biological resources within the marine environment, where compounds containing isopentenyl and their derivatives exhibit remarkable biological activities alongside unique chemical structures. This article presents a thorough and systematic review of the provenance, structural characteristics, biological activities, as well as the biosynthetic pathways of isopentenyl-incorporated compounds and their derivatives originating from the marine realm, thereby offering significant and valuable implications for the exploration and exploitation of marine natural products.
