Abstract:
The anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) is the most frequently injured ankle ligament, often resulting in chronic instability that impairs joint function and reduces quality of life. Various surgical methods have been developed for ATFL repair. This study introduces an arthroscopic repair technique using a loop suture and a single knot anchor positioned at the distal fibula. The procedure is time-efficient, requires minimal specialized equipment, and is easily reproducible. By restoring the ATFL anatomy, this method yields favorable clinical outcomes with high patient satisfaction rates.
