Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) are highly cost-effective for type 2 diabetes (T2D) management compared to dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors (DPP4is). This cost-effectiveness is particularly pronounced in elderly patients and those with mild renal impairment.
