Background:

Ischaemic priapism is a critical urological emergency requiring immediate intervention to prevent long-term complications like erectile dysfunction.
Limited hands-on training opportunities exist for this condition due to its rarity, especially in resource-constrained environments.
This necessitates innovative educational solutions to prepare healthcare providers.

Purpose of the Study:

To develop and integrate a low-cost, anatomically realistic simulation model for training emergency medicine and urology trainees in needle aspiration for ischaemic priapism.
To provide an accessible and effective educational tool for enhancing clinical preparedness.

Main Methods:

A simulation model was constructed using readily available materials, designed to replicate the anatomical and hepatic characteristics of priapism.
The model was integrated into a structured training program for emergency medicine registrars.
While not formally evaluated, trainee feedback was collected.

Main Results:

The simulation model successfully replicated key characteristics of priapism.
Trainee feedback suggested improvements in procedural skill and confidence after using the model.
The reusable trainer was perceived as an accessible and effective educational resource.

Conclusions:
