Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have garnered widespread attention in the field of photovoltaics due to their significant advantages of high conversion efficiency, low cost, and tunable bandgap. However, PSCs encounter issues such as environmental sensitivity and immature large-scale preparation processes, which restrict their widespread application. Consequently, overcoming these challenges is crucial for the research of PSCs. Two-dimensional (2D) materials possess merits, such as high carrier mobility, bandgap compatibility with perovskite energy bands, and excellent stability. They have been widely utilized for surface passivation in PSCs, to optimize optoelectronic performance by enhancing device efficiency and stability. This review introduces the use of 2D materials as additives in PSCs and their effects on carrier transport and stability and provides a summary and outlook.
