None:
Takotsubo syndrome, a transient stress-induced cardiomyopathy characterized by left ventricular dysfunction, has previously been reported to be associated with several anticancer agents. We herein report a rare case of Takotsubo syndrome associated with dabrafenib/trametinib combination therapy. A 76-year-old man with malignant melanoma was treated with a dabrafenib/trametinib combination therapy. After six months of treatment, the patient developed symptomatic heart failure. Echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and myocardial single-photon emission computed tomography were performed, leading to the diagnosis of Takotsubo syndrome. In the absence of any physical or emotional stressors, Takotsubo syndrome was deemed to have been induced by combination therapy.
