68 Ga-FAPi PET-CT Demonstrating Diagnostic Superiority Over 18 F-FDG PET-CT in Breast Carcinoma

Abstract:
Breast cancer (BCa), being the most common cancer in women, is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Hence, early and precise detection is crucial in patient management. FDG PET-CT plays an important role in staging of newly diagnosed cases of BCa, but due to its limitations, newer alternative tracers like FAPi are increasingly being studied. Here, we present one such case of non-FDG avid invasive carcinoma bilateral breast, which showed significant FAP expression on FAPi PET-CT scan. Hence, FAPi PET-CT can be considered in diagnosing certain malignancies with high FAP expression that show no FDG uptake.
