Naked-eye augmented reality 3D display system with large depth of field based on multiple constructions of voxel
Abstract:
Due to the constraints between three-dimensional (3D) image resolution and depth of field (DOF), it is difficult to realize a 3D light field display (LFD) with large DOF. A method of voxel multiple constructions is proposed to break the constraints and extend DOF. A secondary imaging module is designed to realize the second construction of a voxel. The two constructions of voxel are analyzed, the DOF formulation is derived, and the mapping relationship between voxel and sub-pixel is obtained. Compared to the traditional method, experimental results prove that the proposed method can increase the DOF from 3.04 cm to 18.1 m.
