  • A GO-coated MR humidity sensor was successfully fabricated and tested.
  • A 1-μm GO film exhibited a sensitivity of 6.21pm/%RH (50%-65% RH), with improved performance compared to a 2-μm film.
  • The sensor demonstrated excellent repeatability, consistency, and improved response/recovery times.
  • Conclusions:

    • The GO-coated WGM MR is a viable platform for high-performance humidity sensing.
    • Optimizing GO film thickness is crucial for maximizing sensor sensitivity and response.
    • This technology shows promise for humidity, gas, and acoustic sensing applications.
