Summary

A rare case of primary mast cell tumor (MCT) in a dog's lymph node (LN) was successfully treated with surgery and chemotherapy. This finding suggests primary LN MCT should be considered in canine lymphadenopathy cases without skin tumors.

Area of Science:

  • Veterinary Oncology
  • Canine Pathology
  • Surgical Oncology

Background:

  • Mast cell tumors (MCTs) are common in dogs, typically arising from the skin.
