This study introduces an energy-efficient metropolitan optical access network (MOAN) using adaptive principal component analysis (APCA) for traffic grooming and adaptive Tuna Swarm Optimization (ATSSO) for routing. The approach significantly reduces energy consumption and improves network performance.
