Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt Causing Hepatic Encephalopathy in a Non-cirrhotic Patient

A 60-year-old woman with altered mental status was diagnosed with a large intrahepatic portosystemic shunt. Image-guided embolization successfully closed the shunt, resolving her symptoms and improving ammonia levels.
