Summary
Secondary rhinoplasty in bilateral cleft lip and palate patients can be improved by rebalancing the skin envelope. This technique enhances nasal tip projection using septal extension grafts (SEGs) without additional grafts.
Area of Science:
- Plastic Surgery
- Craniofacial Surgery
- Otolaryngology
Background:
- Secondary rhinoplasty in bilateral cleft lip and palate (BCLP) patients faces challenges due to limited skin envelope.
- This limitation often restricts nasal tip projection, even with septal extension grafts (SEGs).
