Main Methods:

  • A prospective observational study involving 15 older adults (mean age 72.4 years) undergoing cochlear implantation.
  • Cognitive function assessed using Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Trail Making Test (TMT-A, TMT-B) at baseline, 6, and 12 months post-implantation.
  • Statistical analyses compared pre- and post-implantation scores; correlations with speech perception were examined.
