Abstract:
Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a common cause of acute coronary syndrome, with a higher incidence in women than in men. We report a case of SCAD in a middle-aged male involving the right coronary artery (RCA), presenting as ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in the inferior leads. Coronary angiography (CAG) performed at our hospital revealed only moderate stenosis of the RCA. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was ultimately used to confirm the diagnosis of SCAD-induced myocardial infarction.
