Abstract:
Renewable wood-derived substrates offer a sustainable and multifunctional platform for advanced energy materials. In this study, a novel NiMg-MOF/PANI/rGO nanocomposite was synthesized via a hydrothermal method and uniformly deposited on carbonized wood sheets (CWS). The NiMg-MOF/PANI/rGO composite showed a large value of surface area of 0.027 cm2/g. In a three-electrode configuration, the NiMg-MOF/PANI/rGO electrode displays a specific capacity (Qs) of 1342.8 C/g at 1.2 Ag-1. The flexible asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) delivered a high Qs of 214.6 C g-1 at 1.5 A g-1, together with an impressive energy density (Ed) of 98.1 Wh kg-1 and a power density (Pd) of 2269.7 W kg-1. The ASC also revealed superior cycling stability, maintaining 90.1% of its initial capacity and 95.9% Coulombic efficiency. These outcomes confirm that the NiMg-MOF/PANI/rGO electrode is a capable and durable candidate for next-generation flexible and sustainable energy technologies.
