Length of capsule disruption (LCD) on 3D ultrasound can predict lymph node metastasis (LNM) in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). An LCD of ≥0.42 cm significantly increases LNM risk, aiding preoperative assessment and surgical planning.
