A Pilot Study Examining Sleep Deprivation Among Liver Transplant Surgeons. Are Patient Outcomes at Risk?

Surgeon sleep deprivation during liver transplants (LT) was linked to higher bile leak rates. This pilot study used wearable monitors to assess surgeon stress and sleep, finding significant associations despite overall similar patient outcomes.
