Abstract:
Among the streptophyte algae, genome assemblies are only missing for the class Coleochaetophyceae, which is of particular interest given its complex multicellularity. A new study assembles transcriptomes for all the known Coleochaetophyceae groups, providing a unique resource to explore the biology of this branch of plant diversity.
