Sleep disturbances during hospitalizations are common and its effect can translate into poor health and economic outcomes. Non pharmacological interventions remain the mainstay of recommended treatments and interventions. With the rise of novel technology, devices such as wearables may prove to be useful in future. Pharmacologic interventions remain under investigation at this time.
